Save password

When you go online, save the user name on the computer, so you only need to add the password. Most banks have this already.

    Hi Arthur!

    That's a great question!

We strive to make our online login process as easy as possible, but also as safe as possible. And you're right, some of the bigger banks do allow you to store you "user ID" or "password". However, we try to make our online banking more secure by not allowing either of these to be stored, and here's why...

Allowing a browser (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox) to store the "user ID" or password opens up several security issues, as that information can be easily extracted if the PC becomes infected with a virus or a trojan. Therefore, we deliberately do NOT allow our online banking to store these values. Or for intance, if you used a public computer to log into your online banking, it would keep your "user ID" from being stored on that computer as well.

Ultimately, as a community bank we want to have a safer and stronger online banking experience for all of our customers, particularly stronger than the bigger banks out there (Chase, B of A, etc).
